After leaving the service Lazar becomes a freelancer. Now he is working for his sworn enemy Slavko paying off the debt that his father in law Ilija had made. Lazar and Ana are fighting a “cold war” trying hard to hide it from their son Micko. Milica and Lazar are having a secret relationship, since the employee of American agency is the only woman who hasn’t betrayed him so far.

While Ilija and Marjanovic are exerting pressure on Bakrac to initiate Milojevic’s replacement, SIA has been alarmed by a visit of three top Russian operatives to Belgrade. They are led by Ataman, Kremlin’s mercenary and, apart from meeting with their friends from Serbian Patriotic Alliance, they have another agenda. The entire country is under pressure. The election were called.

Ljuba and Krle have a new boss Nebojsa who replaced Lazar and they are feeling guilty, because they started to get along with him very well. CIA chief for Serbia, Louise is using Milica as a spy gradually preparing her for a much greater assignment.

Lazar saved Ilija’s life, but got himself into deeper troubles, because the police is onto him now for killing the Russian operatives. Ilija makes contact with the Americans in order to get their protection. SIA is investigating the attack on Ilija. Despite Milojevic’s personal engagement, Ataman seems confident, as if he had just started taking actions throughout Serbia.

Lazar and Slavko managed to complete Ilija’s suicide mission. Besides Iranian engineer they had taken for the Americans, they found their old acquaintance Ayatollah in a secret prison. In order to calm down the Russians, with the help of Smiljan, Lazar organizes the surrender of Ayatollah to Ataman.

Mysterious young woman kills Osman Delibasic, retired head of Service in Sarajevo, creating an impression that it was a heart attack. In memory of Osman his retired colleagues, Milojevic’s and Bakrac’s father go to lunch with their sons. The families are very close due to their long friendship and godfather liaison which makes it harder to young assistant to provoke a coup in the Service.

In a nursing home in Zagreb a mysterious woman kills an older Croatian SIA agent, member of a former Yugoslav Service. Stefan’s action caused panic in the country and Marijanovic, as a chief of police, is now under the spotlight. Milojevic and Bakrac are pushing Lidija to determine what Stefan is up to.

Stefan is preparing for the second phase of his operation by hiring Slavko’s men as a security. Despite the SIA information, the government is not willing to approve the raid to Stefan’s company, because he is one of the most successful young businessman in the country. After Nebojsa’s disappearance, Milojevic puts back Lazar to the field.

Milojevic’s father thinks that deaths of Osman, Grospic and Bacrac’s father Vidoje are not coincidence. In order to calm down his father, he sends Lazar to investigate it. Sara Kon, a Mossad major, is visiting Belgrade and brings a new software to help SIA to join the fight against terrorism.

Through Munizaba Ilija mediates in Marjanovic’s effort to buy off his peace from Stefan. Munizaba sets a meeting and gets an unusual offer from Stefan- Marjanovic will stop being a topic of his posts if they transfer the money they want to pay to his colleague account who has a mobile application for children suffering from asthma Milojevic believes that Ilija killed Nebojsa.

Lidija is uncovered and contained. SIA gets a carte blanche to intervene and raif Kosnica. Lazar is revealed as a mole who had given up the most sensitive secrets to Stefan. Therefore, Lazar decides to go underground. He contacts Slavko in order to stage his abduction or death and then try to solve the case undisturbed.

Milojevic and Bakrac are investigating traces indicating that Lazar is dead. The Service is monitoring Ana but she is a resourceful agent and she finds ways to communicate with Lazar and helps him in Belgrade, while he is hiding inside the country with the help of Smiljan. Through Ana and Nebojsa Lazar finds out Stefan’s whereabouts.
