See Dad Run

The Hobbs household will never be the same as David (Scott Baio) ends his long run playing a Dad on a hit TV show and steps into his newest "star" role as stay at home Dad.

David's decision to not use the Family Book backfires when he realizes he has no way of tracking down Janie at a play date. Amy worries her acting on her daytime drama has become too "subtle."

David tries his best to suppress his competitive nature when he takes over as head coach of Joe's rag-tag baseball team. Emily conducts an experiment on her parents for a school paper.

After Joe bails out of yet another sleepover, David goes to great lengths to help him conquer his fear of all things scary in order to keep him out of David and Amy's bed at night.

Marcus asks David to help him recruit Ricky, the young actor who played David's TV son, to star in Marcus's next project. When David botches the deal due to Ricky's new ego, he must figure out a way to smooth things over.

Emily brings home a boy she'd like to date for her parents' approval and he and David unexpectedly hit it off. Elsewhere, Joe and Janie compete to ask David the best question at a Q&A panel for his old sitcom.

When David and Amy learn Emily is an extra in the school play, they secure her a bigger role even though her performance isn't up to par and they don't know she's disinterested in acting all together.

Amy is distressed by an old recliner David brings home from the set of his show, especially when a rat scurries out from under it. After receiving an overpriced estimate from an exterminator, David decides to handle it himself.

When Amy has to work on Christmas Eve, David promises to take care of everything but the stress of making the holiday perfect for the kids gets to him and he temporarily loses track of what Christmas is really about.
