True Colours

Aboriginal detective Toni Alma has her life all worked out, but she doesn’t know why she’s suddenly acting out. Her boss gives Toni one last chance: sending her to a remote Aboriginal community to investigate a car accident that has left a girl in a coma.

Mariah’s family gather on the outskirts of town to observe “sorry business.” Toni and Nick search Mariah’s room and talk to the pathologist. Mariah’s work colleague divulges that Mariah was doing private tours on the side for wealthy tourists.

Brendan is being rehydrated via a drip IV. A bereft Viv tells Toni off. While Nick brings the focus back to the investigation, Toni is coming under increasing pressure from Mariah’s family. Toni and Nick look over the wreck of Mariah’s car in closer detail.
