Margaret (Rachel Griffiths), a silently grieving divorcee forms an intense bond with Joe (Barry Keoghan), a homeless youth. Their oedipal relationship is threatened by the wrath of Margaret’s ex-husband and Joe’s involvement with a gang of violent youths.
