Nordic Wild Hunter: Kristoffer Clausen

In this first episode, we join Kristoffer as he sets out in the wilderness in search of a place to build a suitable hunting camp and shelter. Every hunting season, Kristoffer starts in July with the calling of roebucks in Poland. We join Kristoffer on this exciting way of hunting. kwhunting

In the second episode, we follw Kristoffer as he trys to find a location for his hunting camp and starting the process of gathering building material. After that, join Kristoffer on another exciting hunt calling red foxes during early fall.

In the third episode, we will see what kind of shelter Kristoffer chose to build and the start of the build. We will also follow Kristoffer with friends on reindeer hunting in the Norwegian mountains.

In this episode, we follow Kristoffer for his hunt after capercaillie using pointing dogs. We will see the cooperation between the dog and the hunter and at the end Kristoffer prepares the first meal in his new hunting camp.

With his hunting camp nearly complete, Kristoffer enjoys his first meal in camp after all his hard work. Then, follow Kristoffer in early September on the west coast of Norway as he hunts for red stag.

Now that his camp is complete, Kristoffer can explore the hunting grounds around him. Then, he shows us how to use hunting dogs for roebucks.

Winter is arriving in the wilderness and in episode 7 we follow Kristoffer into the wild with his Finish spitz dog hunting for capercaillie. Hunting with dogs is a big part of the Scandinavian hunting culture.

In episode 8, Kristoffer has a visitor at camp and he goes moose hunting with dogs. Scandanavian hunters have long traditions in hunting the majestic moose using dogs, so join Kristoffer on this exciting way of hunting.

Calling foxes during daytime is a big challenge and in episode 9 we follow Kristoffer in the arctic winter trying to outsmart these clever predators. Calling foxes in the wilderness of Scandinavia during the winter is one of Kristoffer's favorite hunts.

When living out in the wild there is always work to do. Collecting firewood, getting water, preparting food and so on. Follow Kristoffer on exciting hunts for wild boar using different hunting dogs from Scandanavia.

There is a winter storm in the hunting camp and Kristoffer is thinking back on the season and his hunting of roaring red stags in Hungary. Every hunter should experience the rut of the roaring red stags once in a lifetime.

Winter time means capercaillie in the tree tops and skiing into the snow covered wilderness in the search of these magnificent birds is something Kristoffer loves to do. The harsh conditions, the cold, the silence and the hard work makes this the ultimate wilderness experience for Kristoffer.
