Maria Wern

In the midst of the infamous Stockholm Week in Visby, the Gotland Police receives an emergency call from one of the luxurious villas close to town. At a wild afterparty 20-year old Charlotte Nordenstam is found dead in the water.

The guests all give conflicting stories of what really happened that evening and Maria Wern and her colleagues are left with a complex puzzle to solve. Maria and Sebastian are dating and Maria discovers a secret from Sebastian´s past.

Maria Wern and the Gotland Police are called upon when Stefan Helmersson, MD and Chairman of a well renowned Charity is reported missing. It quickly becomes apparent that has been abducted and an extensive search is initiated.

[Murder in Sweden] With Helmersson being their only possible witness, Maria struggles with the issue of whether they should keep him anesthetized to relieve his pain, or if he should be wakened for the sake of the investigation.
