Fitzgerald's bar is put up for auction and local Brian Quigley aspires to buy the bar. Bella Mooney, local entrepreneur has big plans to turn the bar into a brasserie. A breezy young woman, Orla O'Connell, comes to town looking for her brother, Aidan, the new priest, but nobody knows where he is. At the auction, there is a monumental bidding tussle for Fitzgerald's, who will be the new owner?
