The Feud aka Isibaya

The assassination of a west side taxi driver threatens to reignite a war that is centuries old. East side taxi owner Mpiyakhe Zungu tries to maintain peace as he negotiates a tender that could change their lives forever. Unbeknownst to him his daughter Thandeka is about to become inextricably linked to S'bu, their enemy's son.

The Zungu family reels in the aftermath of the shooting that nearly killed Thandeka, but for her the moment ignited a flame in her heart. Iris Zungu's plans for some fun are foiled, but her spirits soar when she learns the value of the tender. She also indulges Jabu with some tough consequences.

Jabu has some explaining to do when Mpiyakhe returns from the Valley to deal with him. The wives are furious when Thandeka breaks the uMemulo rules. Detective Mimi begins to investigate the taxi driver shootings and discovers that this conflict runs very deep. Mpiyakhe puts Jackson in his place.

The pressure is mounting on Mpiyakhe to punish the West, whilst at the same time he is working to bring the tender deal together. He fails to connect with his son. Thandeka's difficulties in the valley are forgotten when she meets with her savior. Rebuked by Mpiyakhe, Iris focuses her predatory gaze on Jackson.

The Zungu taxi drivers are baying for blood after their taxi batteries are stolen. The wives delight in telling Thandeka local superstitions, she checks the facts with S'bu. Will Jabu and Mpiyakhe be able to make peace? Iris plays a game of truth or dare with Jackson.

Mpiyakhe attempts to appease his angry drivers, and forces Samson to meet with him. Mkabayi tells Thandeka about Prince, the love of her life, whilst Detective Mimi brings S'bu some surprising news. As Iris and Jackson's flirtation heats up, she needs to juggle her increasingly complicated love life.

Thandeka and S'bu grow closer as he helps her with her uMemulo preparations. Mpiyakhe and Mkabayi come into conflict after the meeting between the WTA and the ETA ends in chaos. Iris and Jabu devise a devious plan to avoid going to the Valley.

Mpiyakhe is conflicted when he learns that his daughter's suitor is not only a Ndlovu but also the man who saved his daughter's life. S'bu cannot stay away from Thandeka's uMemulo despite the risks. Iris makes sure that she and Jackson have the house to themselves.

Mpiyakhe declares an end to the violence, he plans for peace. But Mkabayi does not agree and when she goes behind his back to win support things get tense. Lerato nearly discovers Iris and Jackson, Iris draws Lerato into her web. Thandeka and S'bu cannot keep away from each other.

Thandeka and S'bu grow closer. Samson is suspicious about what his son is up to. Mpiyakhe convinces his association that peace is profitable, but his drivers do not share his enthusiasm. Iris continues to lure Lerato by spoiling her up, Shadrack is not pleased.

Mpiyakhe needs to find a way to calm his drivers and prevent a battle starting. Thandeka finds an excuse to stay in KZN and be close to S'bu. Iris and Jabu are remorseful, Mpiyakhe makes peace with them.

Thrill seeking Iris plays with fire, she better not get caught. Mpiyakhe wins over his taxi association but takes a big risk to make a deal with the west. Thandeka and S'bu continue to meet in secret, despite their parents' wishes.

Whilst Samson looks forward to reaping the benefits of Mpiyakhe's deal, will Mkabayi find it in her heart to support her brother? Iris reals in shock when Shadrack confronts her with what he witnessed the night before. The two lovers Thandeka and S'bu are drawn closer and closer together.

As Mpiyakhe and Samson go head to head in negotiations, Jackson gets more than he bargained for. How will Mpiyakhe react when he discovers Thandeka is in love with his enemy's son? Iris attempts to seduce Shadrack into seeing things her way.

Finally Mpiyakhe celebrates making a deal, but a terrible betrayal that threatens everything he fought for, awaits him at home. Jabu manages to manipulate Lerato into some illicit behavior. Whilst Thandeka hopes for her father's approval, she and S'bu look forward to consummating their love.

Mpiyakhe exiles Iris, but undaunted she declares war against Shadrack. In the wake of his beating, Jackson and Iris collude a terrible plan. Now that the peace is signed finally S'bu and Thandeka's can publicly declare their love, but tragedy sends their world and everyone else spinning out of control.

Thandeka and the family grieve from the sheer scale of a senseless tragedy, but Mkabayi questions whether it was an accident. S'bu is desperate to comfort Thandeka but his father prevents him.

Thandeka blames herself for Mpiyakhe's death while Iris and Jabu arrive like fish out of water in the Valley. Fezile nearly triggers a war but surprisingly Samson uses it as an opportunity to maintain peace. S'bu tells Thandeka their fathers spoke about their relationship, they're meant to be together.

Mkabayi punishes Fezile and angers Samson when she makes it clear that she will be chair of the UTA. The sangoma warns Mkabayi about what's ahead. Thandeka fails to win the family's blessings for her relationship with S'bu but Iris offers support.

As the valley mourns Mpiyakhe's death, there are other forces at work. While Mkabayi continues to suspect foul play, Samson attempts to cozy up to the MEC. S'bu won't be kept away from the funeral by his father. Finally Mkabayi's worst fears are realized.

Whilst Mimi investigates Mpiyakhe's murder she plants seeds of suspicion in Thandeka's mind. Will Mkabayi be able to put Mpiyakhe's vision of peace before her need for revenge? Iris continues to scheme, whilst Jabu secretly finds a way to escape the Valley.

Mkabayi struggles with the responsibility of leading the family business without Mpiyakhe. Lerato is disappointed when Jabu fails to remember the night before. Thandeka's grief continues to drive a wedge between her and S'bu. Jackson is surprised when Mimi confronts him with the knowledge of his affair with Iris.

Thandeka decides to leave the Valley and Samson intercepts her note for S'bu. Iris feels pressure from Mimi and Jackson attempts to take matters into his own hands. Despite Buhle's rejection Ntandane refuses to give up hope.

Iris pulls the children close while she continues to plot with Jackson. While Thandeka is embarrassed by her new bodyguard Fezile, S'bu is determined not to give up on their love. Will Buhle respond to Ntandane's advances?
