The Lawyers

In 1964 Madrid, idealistic law student Lola swaps the world of her wealthy family for a radical world of lawyers defending workers under dictatorship. There, she forms bonds that will shape her life.

After her boyfriend, activist Enrique, dies in police custody, a grieving Lola questions the official story. Meanwhile, her fellow lawyers continue their fight for justice.

The firm is overwhelmed with new cases. When senior lawyers strike against the regime's courts, Lola must step forward to defend a young worker accused of spreading illegal propaganda.

As her feelings for Javier become muddied, Lola investigates new evidence about Enrique's death with help from a mysterious ally. Process 1001 gains momentum and political tensions grow.

In 1975, as the regime begins to crumble, police raids and growing unrest test the courage of Lola and her fellow lawyers. The trial of Celedonio Silva finally begins.

In 1977, Spain moves towards democracy. However, rising violence in the streets tests Lola and her colleagues as they fight for workers' rights--no matter the cost.
