Raptors or birds of prey are direct descendants of the dinosaurs. Emerging 50 million years ago, all raptors are carnivorous. They are divided into two groups: nocturnal and day flying, with over 220 species. Raptors include: hawks, eagles, buzzards, vultures, owls, falcons, osprey, condors, and red and black kites. These amazing birds are without doubt rulers of the heavens.
