A legend from a small coastal village tells of The Guest, an evil spirit that comes from the depths of the eastern sea to possess people. Twenty years ago, the spiritually sensitive Yoon Hwa-pyeong unleashed tragedy by accepting something he should not have. Now working as a psychic, Hwa-pyeong searches for the origin of those tragedies and the true identity of The Guest.

Psychic Yoon Hwa-pyeong, who pursues The Guest, and detective Kang Gil-yeong, who hunts criminals, keep crossing paths at crime scenes. As they desperately pursue a mysterious figure, they encounter a third ally - exorcist Choi Yoon. Still unable to trust one another, the three constantly clash.
