Police officer Jai Sharma (Akshay Kumar), is striving to arrest an alleged criminal, Mr Singhal (Amrish Puri), but is also in love with his daughter Neha (Raveena Tandon). For Singhal, the reasons to hate Jai increases twofold, when he discovers that Jai is the son of a police officer he had murdered. Jai's life is in grave danger, as Singhal plans to murder him at the soonest.
