A women's running event is viciously attacked, resulting in nine deaths and many serious injuries. Heder represents several of the victims and wants to convict the perpetrators of terrorism.

The trials against the two perpetrators begin. Challenges arise when one of the offenders, who comes from one of Denmark's most powerful families, arms himself with the best defence lawyer available.

The prosecutor cannot tie one of the perpetrators to the crime, and so he is acquitted. The four lawyers at Heder deal with the defeat in different ways, which puts a tremendous strain on their unity.

The trial of the perpetrator who drove the van is nearing a final verdict. Elin has a final hearing with the accused, where Heder has unearthed new information that seriously damages the defence strategy.

Will his heinous acts be punished with life imprisonment, or will the accused get away with it? Meanwhile, the third accomplice makes final preparations for his grand plan.

According to police, the third accomplice plans to attack an entertainment show with a predominantly female audience at an outside arena. The clock is ticking as the event approaches...
