Carmen is troubled by her son, Boris and his obsession to find out who tried to kill her. A gang war is raging between the Mexicans and a gang led by The Coach. Justine de Heer needs Carmen’s help to bring the war to an end. It's a deadly dangerous gamble, but when Boris vanishes without trace, Carmen decides she must be free - her children need her.

The joy of Carmen’s release is overshadowed by the disappearance of Boris. Carmen must keep her infiltration of the Mexican gang a secret and therefore needs to create a cover story which will leave her free to deal with them. Together with Sandrina, she approaches an old acquaintance for help. Carmen's daughter Natalie is not happy about her mother’s choices and son Lucien finds a new love.

Carmen sets up a meeting with the Mexicans and realizes that they are suspicious of her. Gang boss, El Almarillo, demands that Carmen proves her loyalty with a test – she must smuggle a batch of cocaine into Holland. It becomes impossible for Carmen to keep her secret from her family – the truth comes out. Jack van Zon wants to invest in Carmen’s venture.

El Almarillo still suspects that Carmen is a spy, and gives her a second test. Carmen starts to realize that the Mexicans are not involved in the disappearance of Boris and receives some information about where he is – but will he still want to come home to Carmen?

The Mexicans find proof that Carmen is an informer. She decides to make a deal with them, which will frustrate Justine de Heer. Natalie reluctantly cooperates with her mother, but she too has a secret. Everything seems to be going according to plan…

Boris quickly makes a name for himself in the criminal underworld. The batch of cocaine Carmen needed for a deal with the Mexicans is stolen by an unknown party. Carmen must deliver the supply and decides to get the drugs back at all costs. The trail leads to someone she thought she could trust.

Carmen has lost the batch of cocaine and Luther is given to the Mexicans as security. Carmen has 24 hours to get the supply back. A final showdown is waiting for the Mexicans. The moment Carmen shows up with the drugs, she is caught up in a violent confrontation.

The confrontation between the Mexicans and the other gang has dramatic consequences. Carmen’s mother Fiep uncovers the truth about the attack on Carmen and together with Luther they plan their revenge. Carmen goes looking for Boris, joined by Luther and Storm. The hunt leads to a seedy sex club in Belgium…

Boris goes to a remote rehab center, but even there he is not safe. Carmen comes face-to-face with the man she considers her greatest enemy. Or is she jumping to conclusions?

Public Prosecutor Justine de Heer wants to resolve the Carmen problem and decides to set a trap for her. Carmen needs to use all her talents, cunning and skill to escape.
