Carlos Durán loses his life in front of his family after arguing with the Rector who accuses him of having deals with a drug trafficker, while Miranda celebrates the wedding of Diego Trujillo on his farm, who has a trap to get rid of the boss and be in charge of their "businesses".

Miranda recovers without imagining that Trujillo orders the elimination of Candela, who trusts her godfather as her father asked. Argemiro despairs when he sees that the investigation into the murder of his father is stalled, so he proposes to Silvana to search the underworld of drugs.

Candela's arrival draws Silvana's attention, but when she sees Marcos, the girl tries to run away, which saves the prosecutor's life. Wallace reviews the video of Prosecutor Durán's visit to Miranda's cell where she discovers she had a companion who was not watching Jones, and will be sentenced by the warden.

Silvana warns Ernesto that after what Joaquín did, she doesn't want him to be her escort, but her fiancé's attitude confuses her when she finds out that he only changed his position without any warning. Argemiro with the help of Richard prepares to approach Trujillo, but first he wants to finish off the criminals who attacked him.

Joaquín runs to Felipe's side, leaving Ernesto in charge of rescuing Marcos and Candela, but the girl refuses to run away because she wants to avenge her father. Barbara calls Camila because she needs her to change Diego's image and show him as a benefactor of her town. Argemiro makes a terrible mistake when attacking the Culebra, because he kills an innocent man and leaves behind a witness.

Wallace tells the warden that Miranda will be transferred to a maximum security prison because his enemies may make an attempt on his life again. Joaquín goes to Ernesto's call when Marcos is in the hands of El Potro, who obeys Diego's order to liquidate the traitor.

Argemiro, tormented by guilt, accepts the drug that Richard gives him, but ends up confessing to his mother that he ended the life of a child by accident, while Silvana tries to escape with Felipe from criminals that she believes Trujillo sent to hinder her plans.

Camila doesn't understand that they tried to eliminate her for being close to Trujillo as Silvana tells her, but she talks to Diego about this. Joaquín helps Silvana to get the confidential file, which causes a confrontation with Ernesto. Candela offers to help her godfather in the business, which annoys Roberto, when Joaquín arrives looking for El Potro.

Silvana feels safe with the support of the Prosecutor to catch Trujillo, but discovers that the file she took without Zúñiga's permission was stolen. Candela manages to accept Diego by working alongside her, but Roberto cannot hide his displeasure.

Ernesto demands that Silvana and Joaquín disobey his orders when he finds them with Argemiro and finds out that Trujillo's file has been lost. Francisco decides to put pressure on the warden when he realizes his weaknesses, but Leonardo warns him not to come near.

Argemiro shows Candela the PGM file without imagining giving the girl another weapon against Trujillo. Zúñiga waits patiently to accuse Silvana of her and get her out of the PGM along with those who support her, but Rueda tells her that one of the suspects in a crime is the prosecutor's brother.

Francisco claims that Leonardo confuses him with his changes from protecting him to punishing him, which only brings him problems with the inmates. Coleto warns Argemiro to treat her cousin well because Marcelina has already suffered the violence of a man who almost drove her crazy and forced her to liquidate him.

Roberto and Candela continue to attack each other over the synthetic drug business with the Colombians. Joaquín tells Silvana that Ernesto suspects they have a relationship, which starts arguments and accusations between them. Leonardo ignores Socrates' advice about Francisco, who makes a deal with El Potro.

Laura warns Silvana that it is difficult to get rid of Zúñiga's accusations, but Ernesto promises to get proof, but he needs time. Argemiro asks Coleto for help because of Marcelina's violence when he finds out he is going to leave her, but having no answer he makes a drastic decision.

Silvana argues with Ernesto who insists that she accept the conditions of the sub-prosecutor, so she asks Érika for help to prove to Guevara Zúñiga's interests in the Trujillo case. Leonardo talks to Silvana to reunite Candela with her father, after allowing Francisco to see the video of his daughter to reassure him.

Barbara makes a scene for Diego when she sees him arrive with Camila on the pretext that the journalist is doing her political campaign. Zúñiga feels he has already defeated Silvana by not presenting the evidence that she claimed to have to the judge, but the Prosecutor insists that Guevara is about to deliver the evidence that Trujillo is a drug trafficker.

Joaquín arrives at the shipping company's warehouse when they report to Roberto that someone infiltrated the security camera system, which puts Silvana at risk for not paying attention to Érika's orders. Argemiro waits for Bárbara to believe that Coleto wants to eliminate her because otherwise she is lost.

Diego reviews videos from the shipping company to find out who tricked his people. Argemiro doesn't stop lying to Bárbara to avoid Coleto's revenge for Marcelina's death, and kidnap Viviana. Silvana visits Joaquín to convince him to be part of her team in the Zúñiga investigation.

Candela fixes the problems with Diego's contact for the new business in the United States in her own way, but arouses Roberto's fury. Joaquín, with the help of Érika, enters the warehouses of the shipping company where he listens to Fabiana and John Jairo talk about the transport of the "merchandise".

Joaquín presents Vicente and Violeta as his team to work with Silvana in the capture of Trujillo, who organizes a party with well-known political figures to run for minister. Valeria cannot prevent Felipe's kidnapping or notify Joaquín, but Argemiro is in charge of protecting the child from the violent Caballo.

Leonardo talks to Francisco, convinced that the man is honest and was not manipulating him just because he was the Head of the Penitentiary. Candela is forced to leave the Trujillo ranch after being caught by Bárbara, just as her Colombian friend planned.

Roberto sees Camila delivering information about the shipping company to Silvana, where they take her to show her where the merchandise is hidden, however, something unexpected even happens. Out of control, Joaquín tortures Gamboa and even pushes Valeria later to reveal who kidnapped her son.

Candela enjoys watching Diego suffer for the death of Bárbara and the baby she was expecting, but the drug lord cannot even imagine that this is the beginning of the beauty's revenge. Silvana seeks to protect Constantino's life in prison after he agrees to testify against Trujillo.

An excited Leonardo says goodbye to Francisco while the inmate takes advantage of the moment to steal the keys and free himself during the escape. Vicente is firmly opposed to sacrificing innocent lives and tries to get a desperate Joaquín to open his eyes.
