On a night out, Fiona encounters thief-chaser and handsome stranger Steve. And when Lip unearths Ian's secret, he uses Karen to perform a test on his brother's sexuality.

It's not out of the ordinary for Frank not to come home after a night of drinking, but when he disappears after having a fight with Ian, the Gallagher kids start getting worried. Turns out Steve knows more than he's letting on.

An uninterested Kev lies to an attracted customer that he's marrying his girlfriend, but a drunken Frank overhears and broadcasts it to the pub. Meanwhile, Ian becomes a target of the Maguires-- Chatsworth's toughest family-- when he turns down the advances of their precious little sister Mandy.

Mayhem erupts when Debbie finds a wandering toddler outside of a birthday party and brings him back to her house. The police and the whole neighborhood join the search, and Steve and the Gallaghers must concoct a plan to return him to his parents without Debbie being branded a kidnapper.

Frank takes Karen out for some "driving lessons," whilst Ian and Kash have to dodge the shop's new CCTV system to get some alone time. But both pairs discover they can't keep their affairs secret forever.

Debt predators vulture around the Gallaghers, but Frank has something else on his mind-- a plan to get his hands on child support from his estranged wife and mother of their children.

As the housing officer and debt collectors continue to plague the Gallaghers with threats of homelessness and violence, Frank is offered an extreme solution. Things are even tenser now that Monica and her brutish girlfriend have moved in with her kids and Fiona's out of the house and living with Steve.
