Gary starts working at a nuclear power plant looking for easy money. Karole is the fiancée of longtime plant employee Toni, one of the many who are exposed to deadly radiation levels. Soon Gary and Karole fall in love, and their romance poses a growing threat to the staff's tight-knit bonds.
