The Sunshine State - 1
The cross-country road trip begins. We visit Fort De Soto, in St. Pete Beach, on the gulf coast of Florida. Also, Cedar Key and Suwanee River State Park.
Driving to the West - 2

Driving to the West - 2
Departing Suwanee River State park, we drive by Taylor county, Florida scouting a homesteading location. We then continue west on the Florida Panhandle towards Pensacola. We stay at Big Lagoon State Park and visit Flora-Bama Bar, on the Florida-Alabama state line. On the next day we change the trailer tires in Mississippi, spend the night at a casino in Louisiana and eventually arrive in Texas.
Houston, Texas - 3

Houston, Texas - 3
We spend two days exploring Houston, Texas. After enjoying the amenities at San Jacinto Riverfront RV Resort, we visit the San Jacinto Monument and the Kemah Boardwalk. We spend the next day walking around downtown, and spend most of our departure day visiting the Space Center, thus saving the best for last.
San Antonio, Texas - 4

We spend an afternoon in San Antonio, Texas. Then Fredericksburg, a brewery and a winery in Hill Country, and delicious barbecue as we make our way towards Austin.
Austin, Texas - 5

Austin, Texas - 5
We explore Austin, the capital of Texas. We see the bats on Congress Avenue bridge, we walk around downtown, see the Capitol Building, a famous historic hotel, and the Oasis on Lake Travis, among other things.

We spend some time in New Braunfels, as we make our way back to San Antonio for the RV Caravan With Us rally.

I return to San Antonio to attend and host the "RV Caravan With Us" Rally. We visit the San Antonio Missions, Historic Menger Hotel, the Observation Deck at the Tower of the Americas, and take the mandatory cruise on the Riverwalk.

We drive from San Antonio to Seminole Canyon State Park, near Del Rio, Texas and hike the canyon rim trail all the way to the Rio Grande. The onto New Mexico.

We explore some of the many attractions in the Taos area, including Taos Pueblo, the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, Black Rock Hot Springs, the Earthship Community, Historic Downtown and the Plaza Farmers Market.

After a wonderful time in New Mexico, we enter Colorado. I visit Durango, briefly, and after an unpleasant experience at the campground, I continue north towards Silverton and Ouray "The Switzerland of America". We end the day as we arrive at the Valley of the Gods, in Utah.

Driving on the Eastern Sierra Scenic Byway, we camp near Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the Contiguous United States. The explore the Alabama Hills, hike to Mobius Arch, and Visit Manzanar National Historic Site.
