When a badly burned woman is brought in, the trauma team are horrified to discover that their patient is someone close to home. With 50% burns to her body, her life hangs in the balance and the team fight hard to prevent tragedy.

The victim of a vicious dog attack is brought in with the dog still attached and still alive. It's a tense situation as the team attempt to treat the patient without antagonising the sedated dog. Glen is forced to administer a lethal injection to the animal in order to save the patient's life. But releasing the dog's jaws from the patient causes him to haemorrhage.

The trauma team face an impossible task when a patient arrives impaled on a piece of farming machinery. It's a tense situation as they attempt to remove the spikes and save his life. Nicola is impressed by Glen's management of the patient and suggests he extend his contract with CGH.

A major incident is declared when a car crash produces multiple victims. The trauma team is stretched to the limit and tempers fray as they attend to the injured. Even though Fiona's not on shift, she's called in to help and as more patients are admitted, pandemonium ensues.

When Glen is involved in a collision with another car, it's a race against time to free the passenger. Glen is forced to amputate the young man's leg with a pair of bolt cutters, before the paramedics arrive to transfer him to the hospital.
