Derby Builds

Meet Mark Klein, the owner of DTV and the subject of season one. Mark hasn't competed in demolition derby for years but his love for the sport has drawn him back in. Watch as Mark and his crew start gathering cars and parts to start the build.

As the crew strips parts off of Mark's car, they gather new stronger parts to replace them. Phone calls with the promoter can provide clarity during a build, and some interesting ideas can be formed. A scary situation develops and puts the build on hold.

As the build ramps up to full speed, Mark and the crew put in full days to get as much done on the car as possible. Battery boxes and cages are getting built while the steering and ignition panel get mounted to the car. Take a peak under the hood to see what else is cooking in Episode 3!

Mark brings his son, CJ, to the shop to work on his car. While Brian and Toby work on some steering components, lot's of bumper work gets done by Mark, all while teaching CJ how to weld!

While waiting for the transmission to show up, Mark and the crew finish up the last things on the list to get the motor running. After the transmission shows up, they get everything in place to fire it up. But will it turn over?

It's all coming together now! With the final things falling into place, it's time to take the car home!

The derby is only a day away! Watch as Mark and the crew put the finishing touches on the car including paint, a wrap, and roof sign! Mark goes for early inspection and finds out he's got something to change!
