The pressure mounts on Miyama as she takes on the responsibility of coordinating three recently appointed neurosurgeons in the neurosurgery department where she is employed.

Miyama is approached by a distressed woman claiming to be troubled due to Kuroiwa's stalking. Meanwhile, Nishigori harbors a profound aversion to his patient struggling with suicidal thoughts.

In the midst of the neurosurgeons' tumultuous personal lives, Miyama observes an anomaly in Nishigori's behavior.

Nishigori's mother, suffering from amnesia after previous surgery, is admitted to the hospital. Kuroiwa suggests a second operation to restore her memory, yet Nishigori's sister opposes the idea.

A brilliant pianist opts for a procedure to save his hearing, rather than extend his life, due to an auditory nerve tumor. Imadegawa attempts to delegate to Nishigori, who has lost confidence.

Once a coworker of Miyama, Osawa is now a patient under Nishigori's care, reporting sightings of his doppelganger. Osawa's history includes being dismissed by Miyama ten years ago, an event that led to his suicide attempt.

Miyama is looking after a woman who took a tumble down the stairs. The woman is grappling with prosopagnosia, a condition resulting from trauma that prevents her from recognizing people, even if their faces are familiar.

Sachiko is treating Maekawa, a patient whose left arm is paralyzed from a brain hemorrhage. Maekawa now sees his affected arm as belonging to a woman he deeply cares for, leading him to reject surgery on that arm.

Satomi, Imadegawa's wife, requires a complicated operation due to a tumor on her optic nerve. Imadegawa seeks the assistance of Miyama, Kuroiwa, and Nishigori to save his wife.

After Satomi's surgery, everyone is keeping a close eye on her progress. Meanwhile, a young boy arrives at the hospital following an accident, disclosing to Miyama that his mother almost took his life.
