Pure Hunting

While hunting deer in the badlands of SD last fall, Willi saw a ton of turkeys and realized that the gobbler hunting would be exceptional there. Now that it's spring turkey season, he's back with a bow to put his theory... and his archery skill to the test. kwhunting

Willi always dreamed of hunting alligators with his bow, but there aren't too many gators near his home in the Rockies. When Willi gets invited down to Florida for a gator hunt, his buddy Shane tells him to forget whatever he's seen on TV because hunting gators in the sunshine state is a whole new ball game.

Willi and his friend Chris head to Alaska to in search of resident Caribou, but after being dropped off in the middle of nowhere on this 'Do It Yourself' hunt, Alaska's vast and daunting tundra threatens to swallow up their optimism.

Willi and his dad head into the Mountains of Colorado for a DIY Rocky Mountain Elk hunt on public land. It's the heart of the rut, and Willi hopes the elk are responding to calls so he can help bring in an early Father's Day present for his dad.

After many years of waiting, Willi's long-time friend Chris Nowak draws a trophy elk unit tag in Colorado. Willi takes time out of his own hunt schedule to go help his friend scout, and hopefully help him harvest the bull of a lifetime.

Willi and his father John head to Kansas in search of white-tailed deer, but when John unexpectedly falls ill it's up to Willi to step in and finish the job.

Brad has dreamed of harvesting a pronghorn with his bow, so when a friend offers to show him an awesome antelope area in Colorado, he jumps at the chance. But he soon realizes how hard it can be to get close to these elusive animals in the wide open plains.

Last year, Willi thought he had taken down a big SD whitetail, only to come up empty handed after days of searching the area. Now he's back in South Dakota for another Pure Hunting adventure, and he's determined to erase the memories that have haunted him for the past year.

In search of a predator hunt worthy of the Pure Hunting mission, Willi links up with a buddy in NM who shows him an area where the coyotes have become a real problem - one that Willi is more than happy to help them solve. But they don't call coyotes Wiley for nothing...

Willi has been given an extra special mission this week from his friends at Browning: put Browning's brand new BAR Hog Stalker .308 rifle to the test in the field and see how it performs. When people hear that you're going hunting in Montana, they think of big game like deer, elk and bear. But Willi has heard about a Montana hot spot for big birds instead, so he's headed to the big sky state to see if it's big turkeys can measure up to its big game.
