The Adulterer

Willem and Iris are getting married and will finally be happy, until a mysterious woman appears with a message for Willem. And the Couwenberg family has another problem, because Björn also has marriage plans--to a prostitute.

Anna Eckhardt offers Willema chance to finally rid of himself of Couwenberg. However, he has made a promise to Iris. Pepijn, working for Couwenberg, investigates prostitute Wendy, but plays a double game in his hunt for rehabilitation.

Willem and Anna get back on track, looking for the role of Couwenberg in the death of a project developer. Iris cannot live with that. Elsie would love to take over a restaurant. Hacker Alex tries to seduce Marit into a date.

Iris and Willem are no longer speaking, and the situation between them becomes untenable. Pepijn--with a double agenda--and Couwenberg make Elsie a bizarre proposal. Marit is bothered by her conscience and agrees to see Alex once more.

Willem has moved into a hotel, away from Iris. Couwenberg is released and argues with Björn about Wendy. Pepijnis preparing a big blow to take down the whole Couwenberg family in one go. Marit is being stalked by Alex.

Menno is in critical condition in the hospital. Pepijn, Couwenberg, and Elsie will sign at the notary, while the police are at the ready. Reinier discovers that Marit behaves strangely.

Pepijn is desperate and asks the PPS for one last chance. Björn cannot understand why Wendy has left him. Couwenberg wonders who betrayed him. Iris and Willem independently invent something about Anna's past.

Iris and Menno receive the worst possible message. Alex does not leave Marit alone. Willem finds out the truth about Macrander, but it is very different from what he thought.

Iris is forced to bow over the legacy of Pepijn. Both Willem and Couwenberg receive the post of justice and run the risk of hefty convictions. Marit looks for help to get rid of Alex.

Willem takes responsibility for his past work facilitating Couwenberg’s shady deals. Iris is at the airport with her son when she gets the fright of her life.
