Two love-starved strangers crash into each other on the one night of the year when single people are allowed to have sex.

Season 1・Retired archaeologist Judith Potts hears a gunshot coming from her neighbor’s garden, and she believes that a murder has taken place. When the local police are reluctant to believe her, Judith starts her own investigation, enlisting the help of unfulfilled vicar’s wife Becks Starling.
