Adapted from a British play by Roland Pertwee and John Hastings Turner, "Murder Party." The 1934 film version retitled Night of the Party, about a ruthless newspaper magnate who gives a dinner party in honor of a foreign princess. After dinner, a game called 'Murder' is suggested, and when the lights, which had been lowered, are turned up, it is discovered that there has actually been a murder.
