Gentle, shy Mr. Hoppy lives alone, with only his beautiful balcony garden for company. He secretly and hopelessly loves the effervescent Mrs. Silver, who lives downstairs. Unfortunately, she is more interested in her beloved pet tortoise, Alfie. When she confides in Mr. Hoppy that she wishes Alfie would grow, he hatches a plan to win her heart with help from Alfie and 99 fellow tortoises.
