Alex and Noémie would like to have a child. But their plans are turned upside down when Alex's mother Suzanne falls ill with "semantic dementia". The neurodegenerative disease, greatly affects Suzanne's behavior. She spends money, visits her neighbors at night to eat toast, and makes a fake driver's license with glue and scissors. Suzanne the mother becomes Suzanne the intolerable child.
