The Long Good Friday
Bob Hoskins stars as the powerful underworld kingpin Harold Shand, who is trying to change his image and go 'straight'. His plans to develop the Docklands area of London with the help of an organised crime syndicate from America are thwarted when a number of disasters are inflicted upon him by mysterious rivals. A trusted associate is stabbed to death and on Good Friday his chauffeur is blown up.
