Emanuele is a middle aged theater director. He's looking for an actress who can play the part of the young protagonist of a monologue he intends to stage. He lives a lonely life, hunted by the ghosts of his obsessions: the women whom he loved, and who left him forever. These women populate the photos covering the walls of a secret room inside his house. Where are those young women now?
