Mabel Stark ran away to the circus and became the world's first female tiger trainer despite being told women couldn't work the big cats. From 1911 to 1968, she commanded center ring at major circuses, doubled for Mae West, acted in Hollywood movies, and did her show at Jungleland despite several life-threatening maulings. Even with multiple marriages, her cats remained her true loves.
