Between Berlin and the Baltic Sea lies one of Germany's most biodiverse regions: a labyrinth of lakes, forests, hills and valleys, many of them still underexplored. The area is home to large birds of prey: the white-tailed eagle and its much rarer cousin, the lesser spotted eagle, and the osprey.
