Fireman Sam - To the Rescue!

James has discovered Bella Lasagne’s old pizza recipes and starts to bake pizzas in the Whole Fish Café. Everyone is really impressed, the recipe is fantastic and James can really cook! But then when Gareth’s caterers let him down for his Railway Gala Open Day, James spots a chance to really get stuck into some cooking.

Sam is supervising a forest fire drill – it's the beginning of summer, and the forest is dry. It's also the grand opening of the refurbished lido. Bronwyn is staging a Froggy Fantasy – a synchronised swimming spectacular starring Sarah, James, Mandy and Norman, in which they all bob around and pretend to be froggies.

Station Officer Steele is horrified to find he has two Cridlington’s on his crew when Elvis’ cousin, Jerry Lee, stands in for Penny, who is away on a course. A double helping of Cridlington crooning almost sends Steele round the bend.

The Pontypandy Pioneers go exploring in some mountain caves; further down the mountain, Steele and Gareth renovate an old hand-cart that was once used in the mines. Mandy is interested in bats but Norman is terrified at the prospect of bats flapping their wings at him and turning him into a bat! Finally Mandy spots a bat, separates from the others and follows it down a tunnel.

Station Officer Steele decides to direct his new musical ‘Hearts of Fire and Steele’, with Norman winning the part of Steele as a young boy. During the performance, Norman tells James to always keep the spotlight on him. James and Norman tussle and the spotlight falls, sparking a fiery finale to the show.

Pontypandy has gone ‘Bug Hunt’ mad as everyone is hooked on the new smart phone game. Norman, James, Sarah and Mandy think they’re the only ones playing the game. But when they realise they’re not, they resort to taking Neptune to find the last bug out at sea. Sam carries out a daring ocean rescue.

Sam arrives at Mike's workshop to find Elvis and Mike rehearsing for a concert tonight. Elvis and Mike start arguing about how a particular bit of the song goes, and the argument soon escalates and the band breaks up.

It’s fright night for Norman after he watches a scary movie, but his panic leaves him thinking everyone is turning into Pontypandy Zombies… Pondies. He tries to signal for help but ends up trapped in a burning building. The Fire Team are called to the rescue.

The Junior Cadets are so excited to ride in Wallaby 2. But that all changes when an emergency call comes in. Racing to get Norman to the Mountain Activity Centre for his ride on Wallaby 2, Dilys drives too fast and skids over a ravine. Sam and Elvis perform a daring double rescue with the help of Wallaby Two to save them.

While Lizzie is giving an examination to Radar (who has been under the weather), Hannah is left in charge of the veterinary centre. Hannah shows off an exotic animal to Norman. The animal is a fox with an injured tail, and Hannah inadvertently allows it to escape. Hannah and Norman go in search of the fox and are helped along the way by Trevor.

A cat is disrupting Noman watching a “who-dunnit” movie at the Flood’s house. He lets it out but Mandy stops the movie until the cat is safely back in its carrier. Norman tries to retrieve it, but knocks a candle over trapping them all in the house. Sam and the team rush to rescue the children and the cat from the fire.

Norman is making the “best spy movie ever” about an international spy, but unfortunately poor James has been roped in as his stunt double. He’s nervous about doing dangerous stunts, and messes them all up.

The Junior Cadets take part in Moose’s Wild West Experience. Norman teases Mandy about being afraid of horses. Determined to prove him wrong, Mandy pretends she has had horse riding lessons. During the trek, something goes wrong and Sam needs the help of local vet Lizzie Sparkes to rescue Mandy and the horse.

Mrs Chen is taking a school trip to the ruins. Norman thinks this will be boring and is also annoyed to be paired up with Lily. But Trevor is late with the bus, and when he turns up the bus is clearly not running well.

Norman wants a dog so is looking after Auntie Phyllis’ dog to prove what a good owner he can be. But the dog won’t do anything that Norman asks. Things only get worse when Norman takes the dog for a walk by the river with Dilys and Trevor.
