Westbound (1959)

John Hayes, a Civil War veteran, fights to protect a gold shipment from a bitter Confederate officer, Clay Putnam. Clay wants to revive the Confederate cause and plans to steal a shipment. His wife complicates matters since she is Hayes's old flame.
