18 months later, the lives of Mat, Caroline, Hugo, Geneviève and Olivier have changed considerably. Having just returned from New York, Mat comes to terms with the changes in his entourage.

Caroline quickly discovers that a single mistake made turns into many problems. Mat is confronted with his old problems, while Hugo faces tension between gay parenting and his old routine.

Still wanting to help, Caroline realizes that the problem is perhaps Ariane, while curiosity brings Hugo to see his relationship in a new way. Nicholas feels that Ian is becoming more remote.

When Mat receives an unexpected visit, Ariane sees his world collapse. Olivier makes an interesting proposal to Hugo.

Ian continues to play a dangerous game. Mat has no choice but to take control of his life, and Mary receives a visitor to the gallery.

Another chapter ends for Mat but a new challenge has arrived. Meanwhile, Genevieve takes on a difficult decision.
