Egypt Thru the Ages

In episode one we answer many of the questions about this ancient civilisation's origins and explore the history of some of Egypt's earliest families. The kings who reigned and how they were buried in the worlds 1st capital city, and find out more about who the real first female Pharaoh actually was.

In episode two the series goes in search of the ever mysterious powerful royal family of the 18th Dynasty. From the family quarrels of Thothmoses and Hatshepsut to the eccentric new ways of Akhenaten and his beautiful wife Nefertitithe. Along with the treasures and intrigue behind the story of Tutankhamun and the legacy of King Tut's grandparents Amunhotep and Queen Tiye.

In episode three we dive into the family of the 19th Dynasty, with the well known King Ramses the second and his great royal wife Nefertari. Join us as we explore some of the greatest monuments of the Ramesside era, their devotion to the Gods and the quest for answers about Ramses wooden coffin.

In our 4th and final episode we discover the last years of the pharaohs. From Persians to silver kings and the great conquerer. We delve deeper into the Greek ancestors of Alexander the great, the Ptolemys and how Egypt's religion was under attack by the Coptics after Cleopatra's fall to the Romans at the final outpost of the civilisation as it entered its sunset years.
