Pokémon the Series: The Beginning (2 seasons)

Ash is hard at work, continuing his rigorous training schedule even over spring vacation-until our heroes discover there's a traveling carnival nearby! Ash, Misty, and Brock quickly join in the fun of the fair!

Still in hot pursuit of our heroes, Team Rocket is ready to make yet another attempt to catch Pikachu-until disaster strikes! It soon becomes apparent that Meowth is getting sick!

Putting her idea of catching Jigglypuff aside for now, Misty promises to find a solution to this Pokémon's singing situation!

According to Ash's rival Gary, fossils from extinct Pokémon have been discovered in the area, triggering a great fossil rush in the canyon. Ash decides to join in the excavation as a chance to beat Gary!

Ash is sleeping peacefully until he is awoken by Brock and Misty with alarming news: there's something wrong with Pikachu's voice! Worried, Ash runs off with Pikachu in search of the nearest Pokémon Center.

As our heroes are walking in the countryside, they notice a "Missing Persons" poster of an undeniably familiar face: it looks exactly like James from Team Rocket! Is it really him in the poster?

Our heroes discuss the rumor that a rare wild Farfetch'd has been seen in the area. Ash and Misty both vow to catch it, and soon they get their chance when the Pokémon appears!

On leaving the Pokémon Center, our heroes discuss what they think will hatch from the Pokémon Egg Ash discovered. Nearby, Team Rocket begins hatching another daring plan to make it theirs!

During a battle with another Trainer's Rhyhorn, the bulb on Bulbasaur's back begins to glow, prompting Ash to take it to the local Pokémon Center. They soon discover that Bulbasaur isn't sick-it's getting ready to evolve!

On their way to Cinnabar Island, our heroes join Officer Jenny and the police force's Growlithe in some special training, hoping to improve Pikachu's battling skills.

On a brief stop for lunch, Ash and his friends meet Todd Snap, a Pokémon photographer who has been trying to get a perfect shot of Pikachu.

Realizing that he hasn't won any Gym badges for a while, Ash signs up for the Pokémon League Admissions Exam, a great chance to prove he's got what it takes to become a Pokémon Master!

Ash and the gang decide to check out a breeding center that they saw on a commercial. However, the center is a cover for a diabolical scheme from Team Rocket members Butch and Cassidy-old rivals of Jessie and James!
