"Justin Bieber lives in a loft like this in Beverly Hills!" Tom and Hanna bought a loft, canceled the old apartment, and find themselves in an unfinished home on moving day. No walls were put in, but Joyce's (Joyce Ilg) floor was laid at their place, and the contractor is broke. With little success, Tom tries to sell the loft to his family as a new paradise...

"Is a man still sexy with a cleaning cloth and a vacuum cleaner?" Tom believes that he now does so many tasks that "traditional" women are "better off" that he no longer feels like a man. Hanna is fighting back. Does her husband think she doesn't do anything in the household anymore?

"Put warm air on the feet!" Hot water and heating have failed in the loft. While waiting for the plumber, the family needs it warm and finds refuge in the car. Emmi discovers that ventilation is perfect for blow-drying hair. Maybe you can use the steering wheel heater as a curling iron, after all, Nic (Eugen Bauder), Emmi's new friend, is about to arrive...

"He's taking anabolic steroids!" Presenter and fitness guru Daniel Aminati wants to see Joyce and ends up with Tom. He recognizes Daniel's power and lets him 'help' him build a temporary wall out of heavy boxes. Hanna is amazed when she sees who is building the wall in her apartment and, above all, with how much ease. Tom? He starts an unsuccessful aria of justification...

"Blue hearts mean friendship!" Emmi believes that Nic (Eugen Bauder) broke up with her since he sent her a blue heart via messenger. Tom tries to tell his daughter that Emma's generation no longer talks to each other, but only communicates via yellow faces. He and Hanna still wrote letters to each other, using ink on paper...

"Don't you want to find your way back to each other?" Leon's transfer is at risk. The school psychologist (Aglaia Szyszkowitz) pays the family a home visit and quickly gets to the point: Tom and Hanna are the cause for Leon's failure. The psychologist forces Tom and Hanna to work on problems that aren't there. Or are they?

"After 20 years, you have to be able to part with stuff!" When Tom tries to clear out old stuff, he reminisces and doesn't really manage to sort anything out. Hanna is annoyed and calls Tom a hoarder because he's holding onto a pair of holey jeans that had their best days in the 80s. When Tom finds Hanna's wedding dress, he unceremoniously turns her arguments against Hanna...

"A little space like this feels quite good." Tom and Hanna's friends Jutta (Christiane Paul) and Andreas (Johann von Bülow) have found THE relationship fix for themselves: two separate apartments. So that they can look forward to seeing each other again. Tom is speechless, especially because Hanna seems to find the idea of separate beds quite exciting...

"We prefer to eat not sugar..." Tom and Hanna actually just wanted to invite a few friends over to dinner, but putting together the shopping list is like a mastermind task. One does not tolerate gluten, the other is vegan, the next only eats fish... Carbohydrates, fat, salt... Heart attack, cholesterol levels... Once you just ate delicious food, right?

Tom looks forward to his soccer game on television, but Hanna's girlfriend Sabine (Nadine Warmuth) is sitting on his couch and wants to watch the wedding video with Hanna - on VHS! Before Tom is allowed to go to the pub, he still has to start the video for the women. What is the third remote control for again?
