Shamelessly borrowing their filming style from 24, Jeremy attempts to drive an Audi A8 diesel engine 800 miles to Edinburgh and back on one tank of gas. The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is Terry Wogan. Richard investigates alterative fueling for motors and drives a methane-powered car. And the Renault Clio 182 is put through its paces on the Top Gear track.

Jeremy drives a Mercedes with more power than Superman. James and Richard become minicab drivers in south London to road-test two new large hatchbacks. Richard takes the Mazda MX5, Toyota MR2 and Fiat Barchetta out for a spin to find the recipe for the perfect roadster. We find out if it is really possible to parachute into a moving car. Jeremy goes skiing on a snowy public road behind the new Jaguar X Type Estate. And intrepid explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes discovers A Reasonably Priced Car.

Richard takes a Peugeot 407 onto the racetrack. At an antiques fair, James enlists the help of Bargain Hunt presenter Tim Woonacott to find out what is the biggest thing you can fit in the back of a Volvo V50 Estate. On the Top Gear track, Richard discovers that the new Corvette C6 breaks with tradition and goes around corners. The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is Irish comedian Patrick Kielty.
