What Happened in Bali

As her marriage approaches, Choi Young Joo goes to Bali in search of her ex-boyfriend In Wook. Her wealthy fiancé Jae Min becomes jealous and follows her to Indonesia where he suspects she is vacationing with In Wook. Meanwhile, their tour guide Soo Jung confuses the men's identities.

Jae Min flies into a jealous rage and drunkenly fights with In Wook at a local bar. Soo Jung realizes that Jae Min is the son of the Pax Group chairman when she takes him back to his hotel and sees his luxurious room.

While a penniless Soo Jung searches for her larcenous boss back in Korea her wastrel brother lands her in hot water. In Wook is put in an awkward situation when he is recalled to the Seoul office to work under Jae Min.

Jae Min becomes the subject of media scandal once more when he tries to beat up Soo Jung's new boss. Soo Jung is locked out of her apartment and spends the night at In Wook's. Young Joo announces that she wants to back out of her engagement with Jae Min.

Soo Jung asks Jae Min for a loan to cover her brother's debts. He feigns indifference towards her, although in reality he is falling for her. In Wook lands in jail for assaulting his mother's abusive boyfriend.

Soo Jung goes to work for the Pax Group to repay Jae Min. She goes out to dinner at an expensive restaurant with her new boss. Jae Min finally stands up to his father, refusing to marry Young Joo. In Wook receives a career opportunity from an unexpected source.

In Wook introduces Soo Jung to his mother. Soo Jung goes to Jae Min's house to confront him for not telling her that her old boss came to see him. Young Joo changes her mind and goes forward with the wedding plans, leading to an awkward lunch.

Soo Jung spends some time with In Wook. Jae Min is surly and jealous, but he begins to put in effort at work to catch up with In Wook. Young Joo tries on wedding dresses. Soo Jung and Jae Min are accidentally locked in the office together overnight.

The relationship between Soo Jung and In Wook becomes complicated after they almost sleep together. Soo Jung goes over to Jae Min's house after work where she accidentally meets his mother, an event that has disastrous consequences.

In Wook scolds Jae Min for his bad treatment of Soo Jung. Jae Min discovers that after his marriage he will receive an important promotion. Soo Jung has trouble adjusting to her new job as a karaoke singer.

Jae Min spots Young Joo and In Wook together and arranges for Soo Jung to see them so she will be jealous. She figures out his plan and is angry with him instead. Young Joo comes to see Soo Jung with a surprising offer.

Jae Min wants Soo Jung to quit her new job. He impresses his father when he takes on more responsibility at work. In a fit of petulance, Young Joo refuses to release Jae Min from their engagement.

Soo Jung finds herself caught between In Wook and Jae Min. Jae Min takes a stand against his mother, who responds by threatening Soo Jung. As a result, Soo Jung must make a life-changing decision.

Soo Jung finds that her new life of luxury is lonelier than she thought it would be. Young Joo causes a scene in front of her future in-laws, embarrassing Jae Min. In Wook sees that Soo Jung is repeating his past mistakes.

Soo Jung resigns from the gallery after a nasty encounter with Young Joo's mother. Jae Min and In Wook attend a dinner at the chairman's home. Soo Jung begins to rethink her arrangement with Jae Min.

Soo Jung is sick, and Jae Min apologizes for treating her badly. The two reach a new stage in their relationship. Young Joo attempts to use a lie in order to bring down In Wook.

With Jae Min out of her life, Soo Jung must carry on. Jae Min sinks into a cloud of depression, and In Wook feels guilty for letting Soo Jung get hurt.

Soo Jung is torn when In Wook makes a startling suggestion while Jae Min's brother is foiled when In Wook outsmarts him. Young Joo realizes that she has made a mistake in marrying Jae Min.

Jae Min declines to take In Wook's excellent advice, and he continues to show up at Sung Joo's house and workplace. With his brother acting suspiciously, Jae Min begins to put two and two together.

In Wook's career is on the line due to the plotting of Jae Min's older brother. Soo Jung makes a final decision, prompting Jae Min to make one as well.
