Rekha (Roopadevi) loses her child while traveling on foot, after stopping at a well to quench her thirst. The child's father has passed away, leaving Rekha to bear the burden of the loss alone. The film portrays her poignant journey as she copes with the tragedy and tries to come to terms with it
