Guy Hubble is a member of Her Majesty's personal security team- or to be more precise, the person responsible for security at Buckingham Palace car park, until one day he very nearly causes an accident and then "saves" both the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh from injury. In recognition of his bravery the Queen promotes him to her personal security team.

Hubble is training his dog, Winston, to be a sniffer dog. But after the dog destroys the Queen's birthday cake, Hubble is advised to take a short break at a health spa, where he encounters his old nemesis, Dana.

Hubble fails his annual firearms and fitness review, which gives his boss, Dennis, all the ammunition he needs to get rid of him once and for all. Dennis hasn't counted on Hubble being awarded the George Medal by the Queen, which thwarts his plans.

There's been a burglary at the Palace and Hubble is horrified to be shown CCTV footage of himself "helping" the thieves get away. He is sent to investigate and meets Sir Ambrose Hamilton, Surveyor of The Queen's Pictures and is immediately suspicious that it's an inside job.

In order to flush out a mole at 10 Downing Street, Hubble adopts a new persona and goes undercover as a woman. But his performance is perhaps a little too convincing when Roddy Finch, the office lothario, takes a shine to him.

Hubble and Yates are thrown together whilst looking after the Princess at a hen party in Devon. Just as Hubble's boss, Dennis, arrives, the princess goes missing. Hubble and Dennis set off to find her, only to get lost in the fog and end up spending the night huddled together on the moors.
