The Neighbors

Steef has been jailed after the confrontation in the holiday village, but he has no plans to serve his time. After a daring escape, he prioritizes getting his son and taking revenge on a helpless Eva.

Eva wakes from her coma and returns home, but she has no clue about what happened due to her amnesia. She meets her new neighbors, Steffi, Lex and their kids, who turn out to have secrets of their own.

Eva offers to babysit for Steffi and Lex's children, but Lex has his doubts. Peter attempts to contact Eva from the institution and when he fails, he asks a fellow inmate to deliver a message to her.

Eva ingratiates herself further into the life of her new neighbors, befriending Steffi and starting to dress and act like her. Steef's old cell mate Carl moves in with Lilly to keep an eye on Sem.

Lex and Steffi go away for the weekend in an attempt to reconnect, but the trip ends in disillusion. Eva looks after the kids and takes the chance to play mother to Roos, much to the annoyance of Max.

Lex feels guilty when he discovers his boss Sal was attacked in the garage. Steffi confides in Eva about exactly what she and Lex have been hiding, and Eva decides to use the information against them.

Eva urges Steffi to visit her family incognito, but when Steffi's ex-lover Milo walks in, it puts her in great danger. Too worried to tell Lex, Steffi keeps him at a distance, pushing him towards Eva.

After Eva pays a visit to Lex at work, he can't get her out of his mind. Things are running smoothly for him, especially when Lilly decides to invest her recently gained fortune in the garage.

Peter decides to forget Eva, as she forgot him, but he finds out another inmate is targeting her. Steffi follows Eva's advice and gets back in touch with Milo, but there are terrible consequences.

Steffi's actions have forced Lex to go on the run and briefly leave his kids in Eva's care. Eva plots to create the perfect family she's always longed for, but forgets to take one person into account.
