Based upon E. M. Forster's best-selling novel, this period drama follows a rich Edwardian widow (Helen Mirren) who marries a handsome Tuscan dentist (Rupert Graves) but dies in childbirth. Her English family travel to Italy in order to bring the child back home to England, but are unprepared for what unfolds.
