Florian and his beloved Collie Lassie are inseparable and live happily in an idyllic village. When Florian's father loses his job, the family move to a flat and Lassie's placed in the hands of Count von Sprengel, although when his mean caretaker starts treating Lassie badly, she escapes and searches for Flo, not knowing Flo also can't stand it any longer and is looking for his dog.
