This tale of aspirations and the journey through life follows Nagi, a young man about to set off for Italy in pursuit of his dream, and Azuma, who trained him... as well as the man Azuma herself once aspired to be like.

"Adolescent emotions" is the theme in this story of two women, Koizumi and Kumeno, reflecting on the strange feelings inspired by the not-quite-curiosity, not-quite-friendship between them in their high school days.

"Loss" is the theme in this tale of two children, Haruka and Yukari, who are reunited at a summer festival. After learning that the Lantern Festival is a time when those who have passed away return to visit the living world, Yukari heads off to the summer festival in hopes that she'll be able to see her friend Haruka again.

"Endings and beginnings" is the theme in this story of Ms. Sakurada, a teacher who is leaving her elementary school upon reaching retirement age. As she immerses herself in the memories held within the school building, she's presented with an offer to turn this ending into a new beginning.
