The Trouble With Tessa

Disgraced documentarian Tessa Fowler arrives in the quirky town of Lowery. While investigating strange noises coming from their new home's basement, Tessa discovers a mysterious box of old VHS and audio tapes; one tape may have caught a murder.

After waking up to more bad news from their producer, Aaron, Tessa heads to the town's library to begin researching the mysterious tapes. They learn about a former tenant of their rental home who went missing; stumbling upon an unlikely ally.

Tessa comes clean about why they ran away to Lowery and agrees to meet Freddy before curfew. Watching another tape allows Tessa to see Amelia's face for the first time. Tessa has a terrifying encounter with a figure from the bar. Then, everything changes.

Tessa returns to find that someone has taken the tapes. As strange noises rise from the basement, a surprise visit from Betsy changes everything.

Tessa's investigation leads to an unexpected target. Their attempt at recovering stolen property spirals into something more ominous when they realize they're trapped in a place not meant to be found-and certainly not meant to be escaped.

Tessa seizes a narrow, brutal chance at freedom. Soon, however, the town's warning siren leaves them with no choice but to return to where everything began. Once inside, Tessa finally learns the truth they've been chasing all along...
