Ghost Whisperer

Melinda is concerned that Andrea is being influenced by "Wide Brim." She goes to Professor Rick Payne, an expert in occult beliefs and history, to see if he can identify "Wide Brim" in order to win the battle for her friend's fate. Meanwhile, a young man who seems to be obsessed with Melinda makes plans to fly from Seattle to see her.

Melinda is haunted by the spirit of a young man wanting to make amends with his wife, Donna. When she does so, Melinda discovers Donna is his former wife who divorced him because he was obsessed with his ex-girlfriend. Melinda meets Delia Banks, the mother of a boy show is determined to steal some valuable memorabilia from her store.

Melinda and Jim befriend a new couple whose home is haunted by a 6-year-old girl who drowned in their swimming pool. While Melinda uncovers why the child's spirit wreaks havoc in the house, she also meets the girl's brother who blames himself for his sister's death. Delia, who sold the couple the house, would like to stop them from moving out.

Melinda senses something strange about the ornaments she and Delia come across, and is puzzled by the ghost that comes along with them who refuses to acknowledge her. When Melinda picks up any of the objects, she sees wild images in the ghost's mind, which may be his only way of communicating. She visits Professor Payne to see if he can explain it.

Melinda encounters a confused ghost, who claims the widow weeping at the graveside every day is not his wife. Slowly, the ghost is able to remember things about his life and confesses that he abandoned his wife and daughter, which mirrors Melinda's background. As she puts aside her personal feelings, she tries to unravel the mystery of the grave.

Jim senses that something strange is going on when beetles appear in their home. He then dreams about a beautiful woman holding an exotic cat. Melinda calls and suggests that Jim visit Professor Rick Payne, an expert in the occult, who helps Jim identify the woman as Eva. When Melinda returns home, she and Jim must help Eva's younger sister.

A ghost, Anna Fowler, asks Melinda to help find her daughter, Lane, claiming that Lane needs Anna's help. When Melinda finds her, Lane refuses to see her mother. After Anna attacks Lane's fiancé, Melinda learns a secret that applies equally to both mother and daughter. In order for Anna to cross over, Melinda must help both acknowledge their past.

When a restaurant burns down for the second time, Melinda tries to help an angry ghost, accused of starting the original restaurant fire that killed him. He tells her he was not to blame and Melinda tries to help him clear his name. Melinda remembers the night that she and Jim met when a fire erupted in the building next door to where she lived.

Melinda is called to help Brandon, who's being terrorized by his father's ghost. She discovers that Brandon's father has a ghost of his own, Jared, Brandon's now-deceased bandmate. Jared was jealous of Brandon's talent, and Melinda must find a way to quiet his fury so that Brandon can return to music.

Melinda encounters an angry ghost, a former pro-baseball player who died in a car accident and now wants to take over the body of Justin Cotter, a young pitcher. Scared and confused, Justin isn't aware of the battle taking place inside him. Melinda must show Justin what is happening to him and help the boy turn his back on the powerful spirit.

Melinda's encounters with a ghost alter her surroundings. She finds herself in an unknown jungle filled with exotic plants and tribal manikins. Unfortunately, the ghost is plagued by a horrible condition that limits his speech and makes it difficult for Melinda to determine his needs. A visit to Professor Payne links him to the ghost.

While making voluntary hospital rounds with Delia and her therapy dog, Melinda meets a desperate spirit trapped between life and death. The spirit belongs to a young man on life-support, who begs her to intervene. Unable to live and prevented from dying, the spirit is trapped by his own body, bitterly watching his parents and wife argue his fate.

With her friend's pregnancy in danger, Melinda must act quickly to prevent a spirit from harming the unborn child. Professor Payne tries to help Melinda deal with the spirit, who has multiple personalities and is terrified of being reborn in order to avoid reliving a terrible past.

When Melinda's car mysteriously breaks down, she finds herself face to face with an angry spirit who tells her "Someone's gonna die." Melinda tries to figure out the meaning of a mysterious code linked to a secret drag-racing society. When she discovers Delia's son, Ned, may be involved with the group, she follows him to their hidden location.

After a speech at Grandview High, Melinda notices the spirit of a cheerleader attacking her former squad. With the semi-finals just days away, Melinda scrambles to determine why the spirit is destroying her squad. When Melinda notices a connection between the ghost, the new head cheerleader and a "goth" student, she reaches out to the team's coach.

Melinda and Delia are among the victims of a jewelry store heist. Soon after, Melinda is contacted by a ghost who wants her to reach out to his wife. When Melinda arrives at his home to deliver the message, she discovers the jewelry store robber, and he locks her in the basement until Melinda tells him where the stolen heist money is hidden.

After Jim tells Melinda that a corpse disappeared from the local morgue, they search for the body. After a visit from the corpse's spirit, Melinda meets with Payne and deduces the missing corpse has been possessed by another earth-bound spirit. Melinda searches for an explanation behind the body snatching and for the identities of the two spirits.

Melinda and Jim's family grows when they foster a teen with a dangerous spirit attached, and Homer the Ghost Dog returns, forcing Melinda to seek help from the Dog Whisperer (guest Cesar Millan).

After witnessing the spirit of Delia's husband sabotaging Delia's date, Melinda puts their friendship to the test and reveals her unique ability.

Melinda is intrigued when she meets Gabriel, another Ghost Whisperer with the same abilities, but her fascination turns to fear when she discovers his connection to Professor Payne's wife.

Melinda fears for the safety of her loved ones when a prophet ghost shows her visions of a deadly future, and a fellow Ghost Whisperer, who Melinda distrusts, continues to lurk around Grandview.

Fearing that the dark side is becoming more powerful than the light, Melinda searches for the meaning behind mythological clues before another tragedy strikes Grandview.
