Hong Kong's prominent Ma family was hosting a wedding. The second son Yiu-cho and the third son Yiu-tong were marrying beauty queen Yan Sum and beauty contest first-runner up Ka Lok-yee respectively. Just after the wedding banquet was over, the Independent Commission Against Corruption appeared at their door and took away the three brothers.

Lok-yee asks Choi-mei and then Yan Sum to side with her as she hopes Yiu-tong will not be chosen as the scapegoat. Yiu-cho unexpectedly offers to act as the scapegoat, and he receives The Masons shares as compensation. Jin-hung turns out to be his advisor. After the court is adjourned, charges against Yiu-chung and Yiu-tong are dropped.

Yiu-tong is disappointed as Jin-hung rejects Hau-ming's motion to change company domicile. Master Hung uses some red wine scheme to successfully postpone Yiu-cho's bribery trial. Hau-ming is coerced by Yiu-tong as his plan is to frame Jin-hung for snitching. Jin-hung surprisingly responds by entrapping Hau-ming, causing him to be dismissed.

ICAC tracks down the Mas' chauffeur Old Tseung and red wine. Yiu-cho is convicted. Yiu-chung and Yiu-tong eagerly show off their abilities as they vie for the CEO position. Sai-wang eventually decides selection is to be carried by the board of directors holding a vote, so each candidate earnestly asks Chiu-chi and Jin-hung to side with him.

Yan Sum becomes CEO as Sai-wang casts his decisive vote. And on Yiu-tong's advice, Lok-yee becomes PR department head. Lok-yee's plan is to use the charity evening event to embarrass Choi-mei. But Yan Sum again steps into the spotlight. Lok-yee tells Yan Sum Yiu-cho is having an extramarital affair. Yan Sum then finds out Yiu-cho even has a daughter.

Yiu-tong and Yiu-chung vie for the port management project. But Yan Sum is indecisive as she is distracted. She even applies for leave and returns to her maternal home. Lok-yee buys Yiu-cho's hanky-panky photos from the paparazzi. But she also deliberately lets Choi-mei find some way to use the press for spreading the news.

Yiu-cho is willing to offer 2% of The Masons shares to Yan Sum as a gift. After much consideration, Yan Sum signs the contract and stays in the Ma household. Yan Sum is pampered due to her pregnancy, causing Choi-mei and Lok-yee to feel jealous. Lok-yee covertly sensationalizes Mandy and her daughter's sufferings.

Lok-yee wants Ching Fung to investigate Choi-mei's maternal home as she wants to incite Choi-mei and Yan Sum to confront each other. Yip's submits tender for the port redevelopment project. At a meeting, Yan Sum emphasizes fairness as she is wary of rumors about objections to Yan Shing joining The Masons. She is then convinced by her relatives. Someone alleges Yip's cuts corners.

Choi-mei is frustrated as Yan Sum insists on seeking compensation from Yip's. She surprisingly drops some hints to Suk-yin that Jin-hung and Yan Sum's relationship is rather unusual. Choi-mei sets a trap that intentionally lets Yan Shing obtain confidential information from Yiu-chung's office computer.

Yan Sum presents evidence to refute Choi-mei's allegations. Sai-wang eventually decides to assign the task of overseeing the port project, which Yiu-chung has quit, to Yiu-tong. Yiu-cho cannot launch an appeal on the grounds of procedural error. Counsel Hung points out this case can be handled from the prospective of witnesses.
