Five brand new teams and the first of five instant restaurants for Group 2. New parents Tim & Shereez host the guest teams in Gqeberha. It's comfort food with some interesting choices that raise eyebrows. Will their simple menu impress?

Childhood tjommies Shaeem & Mas-ud host their guests in the South of Joburg with a menu full of surprises. For a duo who were all talk last week, it's time to see whether they can walk the walk.

Sisters Tsepang & Refilwe are keeping things in the South with their Instant Restaurant set in Alberton. Things start going south in the kitchen however and they are faced with an uphill battle to remain in the competition.

Father and daughter duo Kirsten & Detlev are up in the penultimate instant restaurant of the season. They serve up a menu with German & Turkish delicacies, a risky move considering the South African palettes at the table.

In the last Instant Restaurant of Group 2, foodie friends Abraham & Michelle cook up their creative interpretations of Afrikaans cuisine. The pressure is on because at the end of the night one team will be sent packing.

The Challenge Phase kicks off at Victoria Bay where the eight teams are tasked with feeding a beach full of hungry surfers and lifeguards. The cooks' comfort zone is shattered in a deceptive challenge that rocks even the strongest teams.

The remaining seven teams battle it out at the Wild Oats Community Farmer's Market where they are tasked with creating delectable market food for hungry patrons. It all comes down to a vote and a shocking twist elimination.

The competition ramps up at the Francois Ferreira Academy. The remaining 6 teams are tasked with making a South Africa inspired restaurant quality dish for a panel of culinary experts who will be tasting blindly

From coast to the forest floor, oysters to veg, the five remaining teams are in an all out war to remain in the competition. A double elimination looms so it's now or never for them to prove why they deserve to go on to cook in the finale.
