Expecting their first child, a young couple - Peter and Eva - move to the suburbs to build a new future. But tragedy strikes and the prematurely born baby dies. They find support in their new neighbors. A close bond develops wherein not only joy and sorrow is shared, but eventually also beds. The lives of the two couples become intertwined and boundaries are pushed, until there is no way back.

The two couples embark on a weekend away and the sexual tension grows. Steef and Rebecca's libertine attitude towards sex, keeps Peter busy.
